Sealos Run Wild Hackathon βš“οΈ

Code. Cloud. Conquer.

🧭 Overview & Participation

Welcome to the Sealos Run Wild Hackathon! This event is about what you can create.

We want live, breathing applications. Whether you're shipping a full-stack masterpiece on Sealos or crafting a memU-powered agent in Sealos Devbox, the mission is clear: Code. Cloud. Conquer.

Here is your roadmap to victory: participation steps, judging criteria, and the rewards waiting at the finish line.

πŸ“ Tracks & Participation Rules

Track 1: The Open Deployment Challenge (Limitless)

🎯 The Mission: Deploy ANYTHING. There are no limits. Your goal is to take an idea and turn it into a live, accessible service.

πŸš€ How to Start:
  • Just Chat: Head to sealos.io and type your idea directly into the chat box.
  • Magic Happens: Log in to enter the desktop. Sealos will generate the configuration for you.
  • Ship It: Whether you use the AI-generated template or customize it via clicks and chats, ensure your app is running and accessible via a public URL.
πŸ’‘ What qualifies?
  • Have a cool side project? Ship it.
  • Found an amazing open-source tool? Host it.
  • Built a game server? Launch it.

Freedom: No tech stack restrictions. As long as it provides a web service, it qualifies.

What we look for: Stability, creativity, and the "aha moments" of your deployed service.

Track 2: Sealos-based memU Use Case (Integration Track)

Description: Build a practical memU use case using Sealos Devbox as the development and deployment environment. Demonstrate how memU's memory capabilities improve real-world agents or applications, with a runnable demo or clearly documented setup.

πŸš€ Fast Track: Get Started in Seconds

Don't waste time on configuration. You can spin up a ready-to-code memU environment instantly using natural language. Just type this into the Sealos chat:

"Give me a cloud dev environment with memu"
or simply
"Give me memU"
βœ… Submission Requirements (No PR)

Instead of a PR, please submit the following via our Heyform:

  • Live Demo: A memU-based use case developed and running on Sealos (Devbox recommended).
  • Source Code: A public repository link containing the project code.
  • Documentation: Clear explanation of the scenario and how memory is used (in your README or project description).
  • Setup Guide: Basic setup or deployment instructions included in the repository.
βš–οΈ Review Criteria
  • Practicality: Is the use case realistic? Does it solve a real problem?
  • Usability & Quality: Overall usability of the deployed application and the quality of the demonstration.
  • Memory Integration: How effectively is memU utilized?

πŸ“ How to Submit (No PR Required!)

ℹ️Submission Rule: One Project, One Track
  • β€’Can I participate in both tracks? Yes, but not with the same project.
  • β€’If you build a generic app, submit it to Track 1.
  • β€’If you build a memU-powered agent, submit it to Track 2.
  • β€’Want to win both? Build two different apps and submit two separate forms!

We have streamlined the process to be as fast as Sealos itself.

1) Deploy on Sealos

Log in to sealos.io. Use App Launchpad for quick deployments or Devbox for coding. Ensure your app is accessible via a public URL.

2) Fill the Heyform

Stop pushing code to our repos. Instead, tell us about your live app.

3) The Checklist

Before you hit submit, ensure you have:

  • A valid Live URL (Must be accessible globally).
  • A link to your Source Code (GitHub/GitLab) for verification.
  • A 1–3 minute Demo Video (Show us how it works).
  • Screenshots of your app in action.
  • Documentation: A README.md in your repository explaining what the project does and how it uses Sealos.
  • Originality: Projects must be built or significantly updated during the hackathon window.

πŸ’‘ Evaluation & Timeline

We judge based on the "Usability First" principle. A simple tool that works perfectly will always beat a complex architecture that crashes. We value finished products over ambitious prototypes.

πŸ’° Scoring, Prizes & Terms

πŸ”Ή Scoring Rules

No PRs required. Just a Live URL.

Unlike traditional contribution-based hackathons, we evaluate the live, deployed application. Your submission will be judged on a 1–10 scale across three key categories:

  • Innovation & Originality: Is the concept unique? Does it solve a genuine problem?
  • Technical Execution: How effectively does it leverage the Sealos ecosystem? (Bonus points for deep integration using Sealos Devbox, Databases, or other cloud-native components).
  • Completeness & UX: Is the application intuitive, stable, and responsive? Does it feel like a polished product rather than a rough prototype?

πŸ”Ή Prizes & Recognition

We believe the ultimate reward for a builder is seeing their product grow. Instead of a one-time payout, we provide the traffic, resources, and status you need to scale your application from a demo to a hit.

πŸ† Top Creator Benefits

Global Spotlight & Traffic Support
  • Official Showcase: Top projects will be featured on the Sealos.io official website. Your showcase will include your Live URL, demo video, project story, and social media linksβ€”giving you maximum exposure.
  • Social Media Blast: Winning projects will be promoted across official channels to our global developer community.
Cloud Resources & Sustainability
  • Cloud Credits Pool (Worth up to $384): We reward code that runs. Based on project quality, winners will receive 1 to 3 months of Sealos Hobby ($25/mo) or Standard ($128/mo) subscriptions.
  • Scale for Free: The most outstanding projects can unlock resources worth up to $384, giving you a full quarter of premium power to grow your user base.
Exclusive Status
  • Sealos Pioneer Title: Top developers will be awarded the exclusive "Sealos Pioneer" status. This isn't just a badge; it's your key to the inner circle:
    • β—¦Priority Access: Be the first to test new Sealos features before the public.
    • β—¦Inner Circle Events: Invitations to exclusive internal events and community roundtables.
    • β—¦Direct Line: Direct communication channel with the Sealos core team for feedback and feature requests.

🌍 Compliance & Fair Play

  • Original Work: Plagiarism or cloning existing projects without significant modification will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Resource Usage: Strictly no abuse. Users found gaming the system (e.g., crypto mining, abusive scripts, or creating multiple accounts to farm free quotas) will be banned and removed from the ranking.
